The quote originated from Will Smith, an American comedian, actor, producer, and rapper who produced these lyrics for his single called "Just the Two of Us" with Kadir Nelson. The song focused on the relationship between the father and the s
on, and how the father's reflections on his own son's life from childhood to adulthood. It addresses the many ups and downs of life.
I believe that Will Smith is trying to say that you should always be willing to forgive and move on, understand that the people who are criticizing you are the ones who usually need love the most. Even though you come upon negativity, you should keep moving forward and never let hate get the best of you.
As a person, you will eventually meet someone that will disrespect you, push you down, and treat you bad. And it may be hard to recover from the damage, but that is why this quote always motivates me to become stronger as an individual. Throughout your life you will eventually deal with people that emotionally inflict pain to you which will cause you to hate, but you shouldn't let that hate consume you as well instead you should move on with your life and let God deal with the things they've done. This quote I think can really help someone that is frustrated with everything. Though it may be hard at first, I think that people who are able to follow this quote will become a stronger as a person. I think that everyone should consider listening to this quote because it can actually make a difference when you're in trouble. You should keep pressing forward, and never let hate enter your thoughts.
Post 2: I enjoyed your images and description of Disneyland.
ReplyDeletePost 3: This post seemed more personal and close to home. I wonder, though- how do you use this quote to make yourself a stronger person?
I really like this quote and what you have to say about it. I think it really is helpful to listen to and when Im in this situation I will try to remember this quote and remember not to let peoples negative attitude make me feel negative too.
ReplyDeleteI like your interpretation of this quote! I agree that ignoring negativity is the best thing to do. There's no point in letting it bother you, no one can benefit from that.
